The Art of Networking
Social and electronic networking, on and off line are also tactics being used to disturb more traditional hierarchical support systems. In 1997 Old Boys Network(OBN) was formed through an initiative by Cornelia Sollfrank. Appropriating the name of an oh-so-familiar method of protecting privilage, "Old Boys Network" provides cyberfeminists - feminists working with electronic media - a horizontally structured network that blends mutual support with a politics of dissent.
One of OBN's goals is to provide a context for art/activist work around gender and new technology, connecting people and ideas, and disseminating information. Its infrastructure is open and evolving, and currently consists of a Cyberfeminist server, an old_boys mailing list, real-life meetings and a series of publications.

Bordergames is a another collaborative networking project, an attempt to develop an open platform of Internet multi-user computer games containing stories and resources on First World countries' borders. The games will have an open architecture, and will include a downloadable and uploadable map editor and data pool, providing groups in different geopolitical locations with a platform to share resources, networks and tactics in their work defending migrant workers' rights.
